The Drum Major Institute for Public Policy , a think tank that focuses on the middle-class squeeze gives Congressman Davis a grade of "A".

The Children’s Defense Fund Action Council has rated Congressman Davis as one of the “Best Representatives for Children.” According to the 2007 CDFAC Congressional scorecard Davis has voted 100 percent in favor of improving the lives of America’s children.

NARAL Pro-Choice America gave Representative Davis a grade of 100%.

The American Civil Liberties Union gave Representative Davis a grade of 100%.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People gave Congressman Davis a rating of 100%.

The National Education Association gave Representative Davis a grade of A.
